OncLive TV Peer Exchange

Rafael Bejar, MD, PhD, participated in an OncLive TV Peer Exchange panel discussion on the "Pathology of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML)" at the American Society of Hematology meeting on December 6, 2015. OncLive is a series of videos providing continuing medical education for practicing oncologists. Dr. Bejar was invited to discuss the impact of genetic lesions on clinical care of patients with AML and was joined by Elias Jabbour, MD, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Rami Komrokji, MD, the Moffitt Cancer Center, and Ruben A. Mesa, MD, Mayo Clinic Cancer Center who hosted the program. Dr. Bejar hopes to have an opportunity to participate again and commented, "The actual experience of going to the recording studio, sitting for make-up, and getting situated on the sound stage was fun as it's not something I routinely get a chance to do."

The panelists, Ruben A. Mesa, MD, FACP; Rami Komrokji, MD; Rafael Bejar, MD, PhD; and Elias Jabbour, MD, explain the genetic alterations and microenvironment involved in the pathobiology of acute myeloid leukemias (AML).
